About 40 years ago I was involved in an auto accident that resulted in having a spinal fusion at L4/5. During the years since the accident, I have resorted to steroid injections and chiropractic adjustments to deal with my daily 3 to 5 pain level, higher if I engaged in any type of slightly strenuous activity, such as walking, dancing and often just standing for any length of time. Two months ago, I underwent an aortic heart valve replacement and have not yet been cleared to have a chiropractic adjustment.
